Redeveloped LEICA Lens

The compact, versatile lens system is the hallmark of Panasonic Lumix ZS series and now this lens system is totally redeveloped for the highlighted DMC ZS10 in each optical and mechanical style. This new high-quality LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens system is even more useful with 24mm ultra wide-angle* to effective 16x optical zoom (35mm camera equivalent: 24-384mm). Comprising 12 elements in 10 groups, such as an ED lens and three aspherical lenses with 6 aspherical surfaces, this specially redesigned lens unit suppresses chromatic aberration which tends to be seen in telephoto shooting. It also boasts a brief total length of lens unit despite its greater versatility with longer zoom range, which is enabled by development of a brand new mechanism for the structure of lens barrel. The lens system is also compatible with high shutter speed of min.1/4,000 sec.

Image stabilization function becomes an indispensable tool for modern digital camera. It gives stability when taking image and/or movie recording. The man’s hands -in natural way- can not be constant thus without having Image stabilization feature, the result whilst taking picture/movie recording is a bit blurring or worst, shaking. The Lumix ZS10‘s GPS displays not only coordinates, but also the area information that covers 203 countries or regions and the landmark information of over 1,000,000 locations in 82 countries or regions! Smart Auto Focus for Moving Object

This is surely a perfect function I identified in this camera. When I capture an image of running rabbit whilst on vacation out of town, this feature indeed has got the spotlight. When the AF subject is enabled by touch control, it continues to track the subject even when it moves, until you press the shutter. When you are taking images of active children, pets, sports scenes or subjects in a moving object, this feature minimizes the need to push the shutter button halfway down repeatedly to readjust the focus. The Touch AF Tracking makes certain you do not miss those great shooting opportunities. Well~, I guess rabbit is not THE once-in-a-lifetime shooting opportunities, but I guess you’ve got my point.

Go FULL HD – with Venus Engine

For the image processor, the Venus Engine FHD is incorporated that offers cutting-edge signal processing capabilities. By separating chromatic noise from luminance noise and implementing the optimal noise reduction to each, you will make clear and stunning picture even when shooting at high ISO sensitivity levels. The Venus Engine FHD also provides precisely selective noise reduction towards the chromatic noise without affecting the border of colors which is judged from the brightness level of a pixel.
